Risk of Pesticide Poisoning in Children

Because they are smaller, the children will get sick if exposed to tiny amounts of pesticides. Because kids breathe faster than adults, they will more basically hurt by air due to pesticide poisoning. So also with the habits of kids include the hands & other objects in to his mouth, without realizing that the kids were eating things that will harm, including pesticides. & because kids prefer playing games on the ground, they have a tendency to be more of inhaling chemicals from the air that drifted close to the ground, or pesticide particles collected in the dust.

Pesticide is more dangerous for kids than adults. Kids will be hurt if pesticide poisoning even in tiny quantities, which number it won't take effect for adults. Likewise, the amount of pesticide that will only make people sick adult can kill kids & kids.

Signs of Pesticide Poisoning in Kids

Pesticides affect more kids than adults. Even tiny doses of poisons can affect kid's ability to learn & disrupt its growth. Moreover, it can also cause allergies & respiratory issues that will last a lifetime.

Signs that may appear several months or several years after the child is exposed to chemical contamination:

  * Allergies.
  * Breathing issues.
  * Learning difficulties.
  * Growth is slow.
  * Cancer.
  * Children born disabled: When a pregnant woman is exposed to pesticides, may cause destroy to the unborn kid. When pregnant females exposed to pesticide contamination does not mean that the kid will have birth defects. It basically means that your kid has a higher chance of having birth defects.
  * Other health issues.


Defending Kids from Pesticides

Some things to prevent kids affected by pollution caused by pesticides, among others:


Adults can protect kids from pesticides, among others:

  * Keep pesticides out of reach of kids.
  * Kids do not play with, using, or even touching the former pesticide containers.
  * Kids do not play with the farm equipment used to spray pesticides.
  * Kids do not wade or swim in the irrigation or drainage channels.
  * Kids do not play in the farm / garden newly sprayed pesticides,

  * Wash your work clothes before entering the house & before touching the kids.
  * Wash kid's clothing clothes separately from their parents.
  * Wash fruits & vegetables well before eating.
  * Not using pesticides at home, inside.
  * Keep pesticides & equipment out of reach of kids.
