Some Types of Family Violence On Children In

There are few situations that complicate the parents in dealing with children so unintentionally say or do something that can unintentionally endanger or injure the kid, usually for no apparent reason. Events such as this is called kid abuse. In some research reports, kid abuse can include: physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, & neglect.

Factors supporting the occurrence of kid abuse, among others immaturitas / immaturity of parents, lack of knowledge how to be parents, unrealistic expectations of kid's abilities & behavior, negative childhood experiences of parents, social isolation, domestic issues, & issues of drugs & alcohol. There's also parents who do not like the role as parents so involved conflict with a partner & without realizing the kid / kid becomes the target of anger & hatred.

Physical Torture

All forms of physical abuse occurs when parents frustrated or enraged, then perform actions physically aggressive, can be a pinch, punch, kick, lit with cigarettes, burning, & action - other actions which may endanger the kid. hard to imagine how a parent can hurt their children. Often the physical abuse is the result of physical punishment that aims to enforce discipline, which does not correspond with the kid's age. Plenty of parents need to be nice parents, but out of control in dealing with the kid's behavior.

The effects of physical torture

Torture that took place repeatedly in the long term will cause serious injury to a kid, & leave scars both physically & psychologically, children become withdrawn, insecure, difficult to create trust to others, destructive behavior, etc.. & if recurring events recoverynya is the case then the technique takes much longer anyway.

Emotional torture

Torture is any act of degrading emotions or belittle others. If this becomes a pattern of behavior it will interfere with the later development of children. This is because self-concept of children is compromised, then the kid feel unworthy to be loved & be loved. Children who constantly humiliated, insulted, threatened or denied will cause unnecessary suffering less dreadful than the physical suffering.

Types of emotional abuse are:

Children who suffer deprivation (lack of) emotional basic needs, although physically well maintained, usually can not survive. Emotional deprivation early stage will make the kid grow in anxiety & insecurity, where the kid is slow progress, or finish up having low self-esteem.

  Parents told the kid that he does not need, expel the kid, or call the kid as less pleasant. Sometimes children become the scapegoat of all the issues that exist in the relatives.

  * Rejection

  Parents who have emotional issues usually can not answer the needs of their children. Parents experiencing issues of this type of attachment with the kid. They showed no interest in kid behavior, it is difficult to give affection, or even unaware of his presence. Plenty of parents are physically there is always beside the kid, but emotionally not at all meet the emotional needs of children.

  * Not thought about

  * Threats

  Parents criticize, punish or even threaten the kid. In the long run this situation lead to delayed kid development, or even threatened with death.

  It might be the parents do not permit children to follow the activities with their peers, or a kid left in his room, so get less stimulation from the environment, children locked up or prohibited from eating anything until a definite time.

  * Isolation

  Letting children get involved drug & alcohol abuse, cruelties towards animals, look at porn shows, or engaging in crimes such as stealing, betting, lying, & so on. For more youthful children, let him watch violent scenes & implausible on tv as well as the section of emotional torture.

  * Omission

Torture emotions difficult to identify or diagnose because they leave no tangible as physical torture. Thus, efforts to cease it is not simple. This type of abuse leaves hidden scars that manifest in several forms, such as lack of confidence, difficulty developing friendships, destructive behaviors such as suddenly beginning fires or act cruelly toward animals, some aggression, withdrawal, drug & alcohol abuse, or suicidal tendencies.

The effects of emotional abuse

Sexual Harassment

Until now it was not simple to speak about this, or to make people aware that sexual harassment at any age - including children - have a high number. In fact, Hopper (2004) suggested that this happens every day in the United States.

All actions that involve children in sexual pleasure in this section:

Kid sexual abuse is a condition in which children engage in sexual activity in which children are unaware, & unable to communicate, or do not even know the meaning of the action received.

There's some indications that deserves our attention relating to sexual harassment that might befall such a kid complaining of pain or itching in the vagina of children, difficulty sitting or walking, or showing signs of sexual disorders.

  * Sexual abuse without touch. This includes if the kid is viewing pornography, or exhibitionisme, etc..
  * Sexual harassment with a touch. All children touch the sexual organ of the actions of adults fall in to this section. Or the penetration of the vagina or a kid with any object that has no medical purpose.
  * Sexual exploitation. Includes all actions that cause a kid in prostitution or using children as models pornographic photographs or films.

Effects of sexual harassment

There's so plenty of bad influences arising from sexual harassment. In children who still smaller than that normally do not wet the bed so wet, it is simple to feel fear, changes in sleep patterns, anxiety, unwarranted, or even physical signs such as abdominal pain or skin issues, etc.. In adolescents, perhaps an unexpected fire, theft, escape from home, showered continuously, withdraw & become passive, to be aggressive with the friends group, school performance dropped, crimes, abuse drugs or alcohol, etc..

Kid neglect

Neglect of children, including torture passively, ie all the absence of adequate attention, physically, emotionally & socially. Abandonment of children was widely reported as the largest case of kid abuse cases in the relatives.

  * Physical Neglect cases. For example delay seeking medical assistance, inadequate supervision, & the unavailability of the necessity for security in the relatives.
  * Abandonment occurs when a kid's schooling appeared to get an appropriate schooling when the kid can not perform optimally. Over time this may finish up in a declining school achievement.
  * Disregard the emotions can occur for example when parents are not aware of the presence of children as 'noisy' with their partner. Or parents provide treatment & compassion that differ among children are.
  * Neglect of medical facilities. This happens when parents fail to provide medical services to children although financially inadequate. In some cases the parents give the traditional treatment first, if not recovered before returning to physician services.

The categories of kid neglect:

The effect is most noticeable is the shortage of attention & affection of parents towards children. Children who are separated from their parents & caregivers do not get an adequate replacement, would create feelings of insecurity, failed to create intimate behavior (Hurlock, 1990), & further modification will have issues in the future.

Kid neglect effects

In addition to all forms of persecution experienced by the kid as said above, there's some things that have contributed in a large / small impact suffered by the kid, among others:

Other factors that affect the major / minor effects suffered by children

In some cases children who are abused do not show signs as above. Plenty of other factors such as how strong the influence of mental status of the kid, the kid's ability to overcome issues & modification. There is a possibility the kid does not need to tell it for fear of being threatened, or even he loves the individuals who cause mayhem. In this case the kid normally avoid any legal action that would befall the people he loved, such as parents, relatives members or caregivers.

  * Factor kid's age. The more youthful the age of the kid it will cause more deadly consequences.
  * Who was involved. If that does maltreatment are parents, sister or stepmother, or a member of the relatives then the impact will be more extreme than did individuals who are not known.
  * How extreme. The more frequent & worse the treatment the kid receives the kid's condition will worsen.
  * How long does happen. The longer the event lasts will increasingly leave the imprint of trauma in children.
  * If a kid reveals abuse they experienced, & get support from other people or relatives members who can be loved, love & attention then it did not happen to be more extreme as if the kid is not credible or blame.
  * Socioeconomic level. Children in families with low socioeconomic status tend to feel the negative effects of kid abuse.
